Dr. Balaji specializes in caring for kids with heart problems. He has advanced training in heart rhythm problems (conditions that make the heart too fast, too slow or pose risk of death from rhythm problems). Dr. Balaji finds it extremely rewarding to work with kids and their families because he can help them, make them better, and watch them grow up as he sees them at follow up.

In his spare time, Dr. Balaji enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife and two daughters. When he does get some time to himself, he enjoys reading, writing, hiking and watching old movies.

Dr Balaji and the entire surgical team, including recovery nurses Emily & Margaret were all caring, kind, (a few very funny) and helpful in making a daunting experience feel very straightforward. Everyone did a great job communicating what to expect and made our daughter feel safe and cared for. The entire procedure and recovery went better than we ever could have anticipated.Thank you!

My daughter felt uncomfortable due to the fact he did not talk to her very much and that she should leave the room so he could talk to my husband and I. As a parent I felt frustrated with the information he was giving us by not explaining it throughly. When asked about the next step I felt he did not want to go the extra mile and tried to stear us away from continuing to pursue answers.

Whenever we visit Dr. Balaji we always look forward to it because he treats us equals, as humans, and talks to us in a way that we can understand everything he is explaining to us and in a way that our 10-year-old can understand what's happening with him regarding his pacemaker. He's an excellent provider and we always look forward to our visits with him. Thank you.
