About me

Dr. Christiansen is a double board certified physician in anesthesiology and pain medicine who specializes in chronic pain management. Dr. Christiansen joined the faculty of the Comprehensive Pain Center in 2016 after completing her fellowship in pain medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She currently sees patients in the Center for Health and Healing - Comprehensive Pain Center. She specializes in the treatment of cancer, neuropathic and spine related pain advocating a multimodal approach to all patients. Dr. Christiansen believes that chronic pain affects the mind, body and spirit and as such advocates therapies that will address all three aspects of the patient by collaborating with physical therapists, psychologists, chiropractors, and other specialists in effort to treat the entire person. In addition to performing a variety of spine, nerve, muscle, and joint injections, she is also formally trained in acupuncture, which she employs as part of her multimodal approach to patients.

In her spare time, Dr. Christiansen enjoys reading, gardening, hiking with her husband and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and trying new restaurants.

Insurance

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
