About me
I was born and raised in Russia, and came to the United States at the age of 18. I always had a passion for medicine, and while working on my undergraduate studies in Sacramento, CA, I worked as an optician and an ophthalmic technician. I went to Pacific University College of Optometry to pursue my Doctorate and Master's degrees. I have a great deal of passion for ocular pathology and medical optometry. I enjoy teaching and mentoring students in clinics as well as in lecture halls.
I enjoy serving my community as a volunteer firefighter/EMT and responding to emergencies in our area. I love traveling, hiking, and just spending quality time with my family.

Insurance
Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Good manners
She was thorough.
I think this eye Doctor was very professional & treated me well & with respect & honored my concerns.
Explained everything so I could understand
He was very thorough explaining laser procedure surgery needed in order to do possible cataract surgery in the future.
Brief but thorough exam
I appreciate the explanation of my findings at the time of accessment
Very professional and through .
The doctor was clear and reassuring.
Easy to talk to. Explained in simple terms. Thorough.
Excellent, professional and knowledgeable
Everyone was very nice and friendly
My eye exam was very thorough. More than I have received from other optometrists. Actually discovered scar tissue that should have been noticed from other optometrist at a different location.
He's great. He definitely wants the best for me.
I really felt the doctor was excellent!
Friendly, good listener, personal and professional yet had sense of humor
Excellent as always and they are the only eye institute that has ever told me about my birth mark on my eye. I never knew that someone could have a birth mark on their eyes. It's extremely fascinating and reminds me of how much I loved science.
I was so surprised that they didn't push eyeglasses on me that I couldn't really afford at this time. Dr N explained everything in great detail and I love that they took pictures to compare to my appointment a year from now
My eye Dr. N was very effective and talked to me about my test. He spoke in words I could understand. Nice man . Clean facility.
He was very thorough in reviewing previous chart notes. Explained everything well.
...as expected: reviewed treatment history, questioned current issues via probing questions,
Good
Superb; a thorough examination, concluded with imparting clear explanation of his findings. Calm, unhurried focused - answering any questions the patient had. The patient resultingly has complete confidence in this Clinicians skill - and sense of priority for the best outcomes for the patient. The Very Finest in care
For some reason I keep losing my glasses right before the appointment. The staff are very patient with me. Doctor didn't panic me when he said my eyes are good "TODAY" and I was able to leave calm and in composure. I just know that my eyes are mostly borderline and If they become more than borderline then it'll be the next step with the opthamologist. Which is perfect. I panic easily.
Very helpful
Answered my questions, gave me supportive background information.
Very informative and efficient. Seemed a bit rushed and behind, tint wise.
Very thorough
Great.
Super friendly and helpful, very informative about every test to be done.
