Insurance
Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Very attentive and patient--listened carefully to any of our concerns. Did not rush us at all and gave us his full attention. Very kind and personable Dr.
LOVE DR OGBONNA One of the Best
Can't say enough about the wonderful care I've experienced all four and a half years that I've been seen by ohsu.
Flawless
This is my third OHSU medical oncologist since my diagnosis in 2021. (One retired and one moved away.) I feel like this one is the most focused on my care of the three.
Nice but didn't ask enough questions or responses
I get blood monitoring for CLL every 6 months and symptoms are faithfully reviewed.
Dr. Ogbonna was very helpful and answered all of my questions and sent me the written reports of my blood tests and our meeting quickly within a day after our visit. I have a slight hearing problem and I did have some difficulty in understanding some of the comments possibly because of my hearing problem.
Dr Ogbonna is excellent - focused, professional manner, friendly, takes time to explain anything I am not clear on.
He's the best! No more cancer!
Pleasant and very thorough.
Always empathetic and attentive.
Interaction with physician felt rushed and superficial. A lot of blood work numbers were abnormal. Zero discussion about anything. Got numbers on MyChart later that day. Zero interpretation provided.
Easy to understand complicated medical terminology. Wonderful personality. Very knowledgeable.

Okay, he is friendly enough
Dr. Ogbonna's professional and empathetic approach was a game-changer for us. His courtesy and respect, coupled with his willingness to listen and answer all our questions, made my wife feel more comfortable about getting a second opinion. His informative nature and the time he took to explain the terrifying diagnosis further boosted her confidence, as well as mine. His encouragement to seek additional feedback and opinions was a testament to his patient-centered care.
