About me

Board-certified neurologist Yaowaree “Noona” Leavell, M.D. gets joy from caring for patients as whole people. Her focus is adults with neuromuscular illnesses. She works with patients who have disorders such as Lou Gehrig's disease (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS), myasthenia gravis or peripheral neuropathy.

Dr. Leavell has special training to perform nerve tests. She can also use special treatments like Botox shots for muscle spasms. Additionally, Dr. Leavell has training in hospice medicine to better support patients and their families at the end of life.

Dr. Leavell’s favorite hobbies include hiking, painting with oils, Thai kickboxing, going to concerts and reading fun fantasy/sci-fi novels.
