About me

I was born and raised in Portland, OR. I received my B.A. in Biochemistry and Spanish from Bowdoin College and then my M.D. from OHSU. I completed my Internal Medicine Internship at the University of Colorado, then my Ophthalmology Residency at the OHSU Casey Eye Institute, and finally my Glaucoma Fellowship at UC Davis.

I treat both adult and pediatric glaucoma. My research interests include non-invasive ophthalmic imaging techniques for glaucoma and improvements in pediatric glaucoma treatment. I am also involved in initiatives to optimize community eye health outreach.

During my free time I enjoy playing soccer, basketball, skiing and spending time in the outdoors around Portland.

  18. Once he accepted and got approved that I wanted him as my doctor, he was excellent. I was uncomfortable that a difficult experience with my previous doctor and her medical assistant was written up from their standpoint and put in my records without any input from me. I certainly would like all that removed from my records so future physicians are not biased by it. My current physician is treating my condition with expertise and clarity, and I appreciate that. I intend to continue with him as my eye doctor.
