About me

I am a family medicine doctor who provides preventive care for newborns through elderly patients, prenatal care, and general acute and chronic medical problems.

I assist my patients with reproductive health, prenatal care, women's health (including contraception, cervical cancer screening, and menopause), hormone replacement therapy, and outpatient surgical procedures such as skin biopsy, circumcision, vasectomy and toenail removal.

I approach patient care as a partnership with each patient. While I will always share my medical opinions and recommendations, I love discussing how patients view their health and the solutions they are interested in pursuing.

I enjoy getting to know my patients over time. I think the best medicine comes from knowing a patient well enough to devise a treatment plan for their unique needs and situations.

I am excited to provide excellent, comprehensive care for people across their lifespans and to get to care for them in the context of their unique families.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature, cooking mostly plant-based meals, traveling, exploring Portland and the wonders of Oregon and relaxing at home with my partner and our cat.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
