About me
I am a full-scope family medicine doctor who sees patients of all ages. I treat patients who seek preventative and general care, as well as those with joint and muscle pain, cardiovascular disease and metabolic disease.
Some of the treatments I provide include counseling, injections and physical therapy.
I like integrating movement practices, mindfulness, mental health and the best evidence the modern scientific community has produced to help patients feel their best.
I bring passion and enthusiasm to helping patients live their best lives with comprehensive wellness, preventative care, injury treatment, and end-of-life care. A former engineer with Intel Corp, I pivoted to medicine for the human touch and wanted to get as far upstream in health as possible to prevent chronic disease and pain.
Outside of work, I enjoy time in nature with my children and partner and participating in movements of all types (martial arts, climbing, cycling and repeatedly picking up heavy things and putting them back down). I am also on the board of Oregon School-Based Health Alliance, a nonprofit that promotes health in educational settings for Oregon's Youth.

Insurance
Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Overall: 4.2 out of 5 (82 Ratings, 24 Reviews)
The patient ratings score is an average of all responses to the question "How likely would you be to recommend this provider to your family and friends (on a scale of 0 to 10)" on our nationally-recognized NRC patient surveys.
Very compassionate and thoughtful in his care. He allowed me to participate in decision making and respected my input in my health care choices.
This clinic has kept me alive when all Other doctors have failed.Dr. Coleman, and Dr. Bybee Are extremely competent and I trust them for my care.Dr. Vanick in endocrinology is also extremely competent. Without their help I would be dead and buried years ago.
Very efficient and business-like, but focussed on symptoms rather than the whole life experience. I would have expected some more general probing of history for a first visit, and an annual checkup.
Dr. Bybee actually has a heart and cares for his patients and is taking me to the next step to get help, which I've been longing for. I'd prefer him as my GP, no longer dr. Persmark, and have for awhile. Each time I see him, he does what is necessary and that is greatly appreciated.
Effective and empathetic
Everything was very good except for the physician. He was extremely hard to talk to. Very loud tone of voice towards me. Very hard to express my concerns to him. But I trusted that he was a good doctor and was grateful that I can be seen. But I won't choose him to be my doctor
Very family friendly, for when I walk thru door for 1st time, the whole staff made me feel like I've been coming in there for years
I had a pap smear but I really didn't want to at first. The doctor explained the reason for the procedure and the risks of avoiding it so I changed my mind. During the procedure he was very patient and the speculum entered my body so slowly and gently I could barely feel what was happening and believe me that's a very good thing! I have had painful experiences in the past with practitioners who are in a hurry so I want to praise Dr. Bybee for giving me the time and consideration that the delicacy of this procedure requires. Couldn't have had a better experience given the circumstances.
They are good at adapting work to my specific needs.
Good
Very comfortable
I don't really recommend clinicians or am asked to recommend them, but he was fine. He was a bit perfunctory but it was the first time we'd met.
He was very helpful and gave me exercises. And gave me good demonstration how to do them correctly.
Dr. Bybee is very professional, compassionate and thorough. Very highly recommended.
Excellent.
Very knowledgeable and upbeat, compassionate attitude
Dr. Keeven Bybee is very knowledgeable regarding the the issue I came in with, which is a sore shoulder. He showed me some gentle exercises, and printed out a booklet describing them that I could take home. He answered all of my questions and more.
Excellent service and quality of service was excellent. The Dr. Was very informative and helpful with understanding me and my pain degree and was concerned and showed empathy for my back and neck relief. Thank you for the outstanding service and quality of service and quality of support. I could go one but it would b a blog lol. Everything was as good as I could have gotten. And thank you.
I was extremely impressed at how quickly and smoothly everything went. Everyone encounterd was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I felt like I was in very good hands. I loved feeling well informed with a plan and a positive outlook on my overall health.
Very knowledgeable and had options for me to choose from and make a decision in my care.
This was just a new patient appointment, so we just went over the basics, I got a flu shot, and then did a blood test, and everybody was extremely friendly while I was there.
I've been with OHSU for a long time but this was my first visit with Dr. Bybee. He was very reasonable and listened to my concerns. I only rated him a 7 because I didn't spend much time with him.
Very helpful
Not Clinician but with the Doctor. He saw the problem. He knew what it wasn't. He guessed what it was. He guessed correctly. He said you need surgery and game me options. He agreed with his patient and immediately set up surgery. He did surgery in 20 minutes. He did not ask for or need nurse assistance. He did referral to skin cancer specialist to complete the process. At no time did he type into a computer. Excellent Service!
