About me
I am a family medicine provider who cares for patients of all ages with musculoskeletal pain, sports injuries, and concussion conditions.
Some of the treatments I provide include diagnostic ultrasounds, ultrasound-guided injections and acute and chronic joint pain management strategies.
My approach to patient care starts with listening to my patients' concerns and fully educating them on what is causing their symptoms and all the options they have to address them. I believe education is power and the key to the patient's care. I practice evidence-based medicine, and if I do not know the answer, I will be honest and sure to try to help you find it.
Outside of work, I enjoy watching and playing all sports! My partner and I are big WNBA and NWSL fans. I played college basketball and transitioned to playing ultimate frisbee for the last ten years. My team became multiple-time National Champions and is the current reigning World Champion. I also enjoy weightlifting, climbing, hiking, camping, and traveling.
I am originally from Graham, Washington. I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, and after spending the last four years away, I can definitely say that the PNW is truly the best. I am so excited to be back in Portland and to start building connections to the community.

I appreciated the shared decision making
Excellent. She is great at what she does and I can tell she is very concerned for her patients. Also very experienced and I appreciate her. She has a great bedside manner for what she does and she explains things to me in ways I understand.
I have never had a better care team
Dr. Cogburn is amazing. I have never had a physician genuinely care about me as much as she does. This is the only clinic I trust with my care.
Dr.Cogburn and the resident who worked with her were both very professional. The resident did a very thorough exam and she and Dr. Cogburn had clearly consulted with each other before Dr Cogburn came the room. She clearly gave me her assessment and answered all my questions. I have a clear understanding of next steps.
Very conscientious of my well being. Very good doctor.
Jenifer is working to help solve my knee problem.
Dr. Coburg is gentle and extremely attentive

Caring, competent, compassionate!
She was friendly, professional and was willing to give me a shot my PCP was scheduled to do to see if should could make my double appointment shorter. Nedded to see PCP on other matters. That Was Very Considerate, nice, of Dr G to offer. She's a good one
Dr. Cogburn is one of the best. She is my PCP and my sports medicine provider. I feel she does a great job of listening to my concerns. I like how she goes over the options with me and takes the time to explain my care in a way that I can understand.
Always good
I felt heard. Has compassion
Professional care. Lots of explanations. I was given lots of information to make my decisions.
Very friendly and attentive
They were very knowledgeable and easy to talk to and information that they didn't know they humbly admitted. Very sensitive to my need and provided a provision for additional care in the future.
I was able to meet with two doctors, and they were each completely knowledgeable and helpful. They took plenty of time to answer all of my questions and discuss alternatives.
I am not sure that in the last ten years I have had a health care provider that was as knowledgeable, caring and actually listened to me as well as this bright, young doctor. She is a valuable cog in the wheel of the health care system.
Dr. Cogburn was especially helpful in decision to do PRP injection. Pleasant and informative. Answered all questions and concerns. What a wonderful Doc!
They were both friendly, knowledgeable, and provided exceptional care.
