About me

Dr. Fields is a native of El Paso, Texas.  He completed his undergraduate, medical school, and residency training in Chicago, Illinois. He also worked as a molecular and cell biology researcher for five years prior to matriculating into medical school in 2009.

He completed a fellowship in the Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery and received a Master of Clinical Research degree from OHSU in 2020. Dr. Fields took over as Program Director of the OBGYN Residency in 2023. Dr. Fields is interested in medical and surgical education research.

In his spare time, Dr. Fields enjoys running, marathon training, singing, playing guitar and piano, and enjoying live music.

  25. I really like Dr. Fields, I haven't seen him many times, and just had surgery, this was a post-op visit. He is very easy to trust because he is truthful and upfront about answering questions and just plain explaining things. I had some questions from a visit with another provider and he was able to explain it in terms that I understood. He is more than competent and very thorough. I would have no qualms referring friends or family to Dr. Fields. He never treats any question as though it may seem trivial. He is quite personable.
