About me

Dr. Gurion Lantz is an associate professor of surgery in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery in the OHSU School of Medicine.

He received his M.D. degree from OHSU and completed his surgical residency at Indiana University.

  3. Dr. Lantz is excellent. My surgery went extremely well. If I were asked if I knew a cardiothoracic surgeon, I would highly recommend Dr. Lantz. He was a great communicator, and he took time to speak to me. He was concerned about my well-being. He also contacted my sister and brother after my procedure and informed them about how my procedure went. My sister from Miami, Florida commented positively about the OHSU hospital and staff. She found OHSU to be a better hospital than the University of Miami hospital.

  6. Once at the appointment everything went well, the assistants, nurses and doctors were great. Appointment times were delayed but understandable.

  7. I have a complicated case with no obviously correct path forward. In the discussion of my options, I felt like I was given a thorough and thoughtful explanation as well as the time needed to make an informed decision.

  8. Everyone was very professional, showed care and compassion. They took the time needed to answer questions and were very accommodating to the family's questions.

  28. Dr Lantz is a superb physician. After I met with the PA I waited for over an hour to see Dr Lantz. Finally my husband went to the desk to ask why I wasn't being seen. Dr Lantz showed up shortly, apologized, and the rest of the visit went well. Someone dropped the ball, we should not have been kept waiting that long.
