Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.

  22. He was extremely honest in telling me that the procedure that we were looking at doing wouldn't actually make a difference. I appreciate that tremendously.

  28. For blepharoplasty I believe that Dr Steele is highly qualified and experienced. There is no one else I would want working on my eyelids. He was immediately able to see that my eyelids did not yet qualify for Medicare payment. At a previous appointment with Dr Poulson of the Hood River office, I was scheduled for measurements and surgery but I canceled. It's unfortunate that both doctors are not on the same page with evaluations as I would not have needed to waste Dr Steele's time.

  29. Dr. Steele is extremely engaging, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. He took time to answer questions in an unhurried manner.

  30. Dr Steele is friendly and professional.
