About me

Ella Clark-Nicholson feels very fortunate to partner with her patients to help them achieve their best health. She considers it a true privilege to get to know her patients and their families with the aim of reaching their health goals.

Ella has a passion for family medicine; she loves the variety in providing health care across all age groups and is particularly interested in women’s health, pediatrics and sports medicine. At the clinic, she enjoys a team-based approach, with everyone working together to create a medical home for their patients.

Ella grew up in Alsea, Oregon. Outside of work, she likes spending time with her husband and two kids, and they enjoy pursing outdoor activities as a family. In the summer, she is most often found on a family bicycle ride or gardening at home. In the winter, she loves skiing on Mt. Hood. In recent years, she has been training and completing triathlons.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.

  4. Ella is THE BEST! As someone who has white coat anxiety, I've never felt so seen, heard and supported by a clinician. She is incredibly knowledgable and exemplifies shared decision making amongst a provider and patient while also ensuring her patients have the information they need to make educated choices for their own health.

  5. She was fantastic

  6. Ella is one of the nicest/best doctors I have ever had!! She goes above & beyond to make me feel comfortable & heard. Ella makes sure she explains my health issues to me & she makes sure I am able to talk to her about everything on my list. If you choose Ella for your doctor you will not be disappointed.

  7. Always has my best interest and needs taken care of

  8. Very thorough, thoughtful and professional

  9. Ella and the student working with her were both very nice and helpful. I came in to have a bee sting assessed for infection which seemed pretty obvious since the other sting looked normal while the one in question was increasingly red and sore. She didn't think it was infected but gave me a prescription of antibiotics in case it got worse. It did get worse so by the next day I got the prescription and it has resolved. Fortunately all ended well.
