Biography

Dr. Friess specializes in treating arm, leg and pelvic fractures. He has a special interest in treating fractures that have not healed correctly after treatment. He also does surgery for patients with bone infections and infected fractures, which can mean working with several specialists. He does research on the healing of broken bones and weight bearing after fractures. Dr. Friess enjoys developing relationships with his patients as they are healing and returning to regular activities.

During his spare time, Dr. Friess enjoys spending time with family, reading and gardening. He enjoys bicycling to work, but does not find the time as often as he would like.

    I received excellent care in each of the areas that I experienced: admitting,prop,anesthesia,surgery,surgeon,recovery,and in my room through and including discharge home.

    Dr. Friess and the orthopedic team did a wonderful job! The surgery went well, their follow ups were were easy to schedule, and they were very accommodating with completing forms required for my work and auto insurance.

    My Sept 11 visit was a follow-up with X-rays to assess healing progress of fractured right acetabulum. My care with this physician and the provider institution has been excellent, and I am grateful to have had a successful recovery. Physicians and staff have been attentive and professional throughout the six months that have passed.
