Biography

Dr. Dugi specializes in reconstructive urology for problems of the urinary and genital system. He has advanced training in the treatment of urethral and ureteral strictures, as well as complex problems such as buried penis, adult complications of hypospadias, genital lymphedema, and recto-urethral fistula.

Dr. Dugi also specializes in gender-affirming genital surgery, having sought additional training in the US and Europe. He offers gender-affirming vaginoplasty and vulvoplasty (also known as MtF SRS/GRS), orchiectomy, and metoidioplasty. He works with Dr Jens Berli in Plastic Surgery to offer FtM phalloplasty. He also offers care for complications of these and other genital surgeries done elsewhere, as well as care for non-binary and gender non-conforming people.

In addition to surgical care, Dr Dugi was co-founder of OHSU's Transgender Health Program in 2012.  He continues to be a very active leader in the program, one of the most comprehensive and highest volume gender programs in the nation. He is active in advocacy, education, and research.

Dr Dugi is fantastic, an artist on the operating table, and an encouraged to his patients...

I was there for a pre-surgery review. First Kat (his PA) came in and spent about 30 minutes answering my questions. Then Dr. Dugi came and answered the couple questions Kat was not able to answer. After I left I realized Dr. Dugi had spent 15 minutes of his lunch hour answering my questions. He is awesome.

  • Jul 17, 2018

He was absolutely amazing to meet with and very understanding of all of the questions that I had and I would absolutely recommend him to anybody.

When you have a two year waiting list for surgery you could be an idiot surgeon with the bedside manner of a fern, because people will line up for what you do. Dr. Daniel Dugi is caring, kind, informative, and takes care of his patients. Make sure that he never goes anywhere and find someone just like him so there isn't a two year waiting list. He's exceptional.

Dr. Dugi and his team was amazing. Kat was very professional and able to answer questions when he was unavailable. They were very professional and assisted me with my pain management afterwards. My appointments went seamlessly. I never had to wait. They answered my questions as they came about and I feel very happy and comfortable with my service.
