Biography

Dr. Dugi specializes in reconstructive urology for problems of the urinary and genital system. He has advanced training in the treatment of urethral and ureteral strictures, as well as complex problems such as buried penis, adult complications of hypospadias, genital lymphedema, and recto-urethral fistula.

Dr. Dugi also specializes in gender-affirming genital surgery, having sought additional training in the US and Europe. He offers gender-affirming vaginoplasty and vulvoplasty (also known as MtF SRS/GRS), orchiectomy, and metoidioplasty. He works with Dr Jens Berli in Plastic Surgery to offer FtM phalloplasty. He also offers care for complications of these and other genital surgeries done elsewhere, as well as care for non-binary and gender non-conforming people.

In addition to surgical care, Dr Dugi was co-founder of OHSU's Transgender Health Program in 2012.  He continues to be a very active leader in the program, one of the most comprehensive and highest volume gender programs in the nation. He is active in advocacy, education, and research.

Doc, excuse me, doctor was kind. He brought in two or three other people, interns and whatever and I had no problem with that. I appreciate that he's able to help other people to be able to help people like me.

  • Nov 15, 2018

He was friendly, professional, answered all my questions, was very knowledgeable, and very aware of transgender care and what we need.

  • Nov 15, 2018

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Dugi, his surgical skill was wonderful and the staff at the office was great, especially Cat Campos, his nurse practitioner. I would highly recommend Dr. Dugi to anyone I cared about including family, friends and loved ones.

  • Nov 14, 2018

Dr. Dugi is always attentive to my needs. He asks questions that draw out the issues, and then addresses them. If something requires a detailed explanation, as one of my issues did, he takes the time to describe it in detail, then follow up with questions to make sure I understood. Then he asks more questions to be sure I fully understood. And if an issue requires him to do something, as my second issue did this visit, he takes the time to fully heck it out, then do what is needed.

Everything I have come to expect from everyone at OHSU was exactly what I received during this visit. I have zero things I would change or ask better of. Thank you!

  • Nov 01, 2018

Dr. Dugi provides professionalism and compassion, very patient, detailed in explaining and making us understand, well, making me understand the process and what to expect after. I'm very pleased with the service with OHSU and Dr. Dugi and his staff, so appreciate it. I do have a follow up appointment on December 11th. Looking forward to seeing him again. Thank you so much.

  • Oct 25, 2018

Polite, It was a short visit. I was fortunate to get in due to construction that took me 40 minutes to go 5 blocks at OHSU on Bond.

  • Oct 16, 2018

Dr. Dugi certainly seems like a skilled surgeon except his first surgery on me was a failure. Time will tell with the second. Someone dropped the ball during this latest surgery, I had nerve strangulation which I am trying to recover from in addition to the urethroplasty and graft. Very very painful which there is NO EXCUSE FOR.

  • Oct 15, 2018

He's great! Very open and approachable, as well and accepting.

  • Oct 12, 2018

Very friendly and informative. The enforcement of non smoking / testing for nicotine was a bit excessive. but Overall was pleased with the care provided.
