About me
I’m Courtney Lauer, a Physician Assistant specializing in reproductive health, diabetes, and preventative health. I provide treatments such as gender-affirming care, contraceptive care, laceration repair, abscess incision and drainage, skin biopsies, and joint injections and aspirations.
I value genuine relationships with my patients and approach each person individually, meeting them wherever they are on their healthcare journey. My goal is to assist patients in reaching their health goals by empowering them with the knowledge, resources, and care they need.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, running, playing and watching soccer (Go Timbers!), camping, and traveling whenever I get the chance.

Insurance
Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Really listened to my concerns and helped make a plan for next steps. Offered alternatives that met my goals
Every single person was amazing, from the person who checked me in to the person that walked me back and the person that took all my information in the room and Dr. Lauer. Everybody was like the most amazing and so kind and so wonderful I've never in my entire life had such a great experience and I'm almost 53.
Clinician was responsive to questions and recommended treatment options
She is the best at supporting me as a person with an invisible disability
Courtney J Lauer. She Listened to me. Ran a few tests on my mobility. Verified a clicking sound around my clavicle and asked pertinent questions about my mobility. I felt more seen by her than any other doctor I've ever seen at OHSU.
Friendly professional and listened to what I had to say
Thoughtful, attentive and listened so well
An excellent specialist, at the first visit she showed the professionalism and interest of the doctor in helping the patient
Courtney Lauer was very friendly and took the time to hear everything and when she wasn't sure how she should approach a health problem she voiced that and said she would research more and ask colleagues for advice. That made me feel like she was taking muy concerns seriously
Very compassionate, listens to me
Same positives a last time.
