About me
Dr. Barrett is a family medicine physician with a special interest in working with the Latino community, caring for adolescents, and practicing gender-affirming medicine. She became a primary care provider because she enjoys developing long-term relationships with her patients and working together to achieve their health care goals. Dr. Barrett values evidence-based medicine, teaching medical students and collaborating with other physicians in the care of her patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Barrett and her husband love to spend time with their rescue standard poodle. She enjoys growing tomatoes & flowers, reading fiction, staying active, and spending time with friends and family.

Insurance
Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Ratings and reviews

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 (95 Ratings, 38 Reviews)
The patient ratings score is an average of all responses to the question "How likely would you be to recommend this provider to your family and friends (on a scale of 0 to 10)" on our nationally-recognized NRC patient surveys.
Easy to talk to,understanding and advocates for my needs.
I really enjoyed my clinician and the nurse. Really is a breath of fresh air to have concerns taken seriously. I really appreciate everything they did during the appointment.
Doctor just types fast on the computer while you talk answering the questions. Doc appears to just want to get orders in and the visit over and done with. Mechanical like visit. It could be more "human" and it could be better.
Dr. Barrett was an exceptional women's health provider in trauma informed care. She took the time to listen to past experiences and provide the best recommendations for care to reduce further pain and trauma in regards to IUD removal and placements. Kudos to her and her team, nurse Emily, who are advocates for their patients in women's health.
Dr Barrett and her nurse are an amazing team. I feel heard, seen, respected and cared for. Best Dr and nurse I've ever had (I'm 58).
My doctor is very efficient, good listener, on top of all things

Clinician is outstanding
She is amazing honestly. A cut above. Frank, efficient and concerned/empathic. Specifically she finds all the things within my chart and care and follows up.
I adore Dr Barrett and always look forward to seeing her.
Try easy to talk with, professional and thorough
Very relatable and easy to talk to.
This was our first face-to-face meeting. Dr. Barrett was very kind. Hard to answer your questions based on one visit. Of course, the first visit will be good (should be) as a new patient.
She listens to all of my concerns, likes to keep up to date with all of my health issues and is overall an amazing doctor.
Dr. Barrett is literally the best doctor I have ever experienced. She listens, has a no bologna approach and is just a great human and doctor.
Attentive, and careful for my privacy, very professional yet caring.
Dr. Barrett is great. She takes the time to talk to me and also makes me feel empowered to make my own decisions.
Dr. Barrett has become one of my favorite doctors. She really listens and explains, and does her best in the limited time the healthcare system allows. She's very approachable, and she's great at collaboration with my cardiac team when the need arises.
Dr. Barrett is very knowledgeable and thorough. She listens to everything you say before she response. I appreciate her caring demeanor.
