About me

Dr. Barrett is a family medicine physician with a special interest in working with the Latino community, caring for adolescents, and practicing gender-affirming medicine. She became a primary care provider because she enjoys developing long-term relationships with her patients and working together to achieve their health care goals. Dr. Barrett values evidence-based medicine, teaching medical students and collaborating with other physicians in the care of her patients.

Outside of work, Dr. Barrett and her husband love to spend time with their rescue standard poodle. She enjoys growing tomatoes & flowers, reading fiction, staying active, and spending time with friends and family.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.

  1. I love Dr Barrett!

  2. I have referred her to family and she made time and took them on as her patient, dr barrett really made my family member feel welcomed

  3. She is one of the only doctors that doesn't just listen but "hears" what I am saying. Dr. Barrett has been kind and compassionate when helping me manage my symptoms and through her hearing me, we have been able to get answers and manage what I have going on. I have seen doctors for decades who never came close to giving me the personalized care that Dr Barrett has given me. I am so grateful for her.

  4. I appreciate Dr Barrett and would (and have) recommended her without hesitation. She listens effectively and shows care and empathy for all issues. Her communication during appointments and through MY CHART is excellent: clear, kind, and I trust her input and treatment approach. 15. I really enjoyed my clinician and the nurse. Really is a breath of fresh air to have concerns taken seriously. I really appreciate everything they did during the appointment.

  16. Doctor just types fast on the computer while you talk answering the questions. Doc appears to just want to get orders in and the visit over and done with. Mechanical like visit. It could be more "human" and it could be better.
