She take time and really listens and finds ways to a dress and prioritize your needs.

  • Jan 15, 2019

She was kind and attentive and answered all my questions. She noticed my symptoms sounded like early menopause and referred me for appropriate care.

  • Jan 12, 2019

Dr.Guggenheim so amazing. She is knowledgeable, caring, empathetic, supportive and innovative.

  • Jan 12, 2019

  • Jan 08, 2019

I've seen many amazing physicians in my life, but Dr. Guggenheim takes the cake by far. She is incredibly intelligent and you can tell she has a curious mind and is genuinely interested in what she does. She knows far more about my conditions than any other doctor I've seen in the past, including doctors at places like Mayo Clinic. She is a brilliant doctor, a great listener, and she has empathy for her patients. My quality of life has improved so much since I started seeing her and I couldn't imagine having a better doctor!

  • Jan 08, 2019

She is amazing. She listens to me and lets me know my pain is real and not in my head. She has helped identify many of my health issues that have gone untreated for 34 years. She is truly my hero.

  • Jan 06, 2019

I had an amazing appointment. She was probably one of the most attentive Health Care Providers I've ever met she's also extremely smart and I am very hopeful that some of the things we talked about will prove to be very successful for me. I would highly recommend her to anyone and I'm very grateful for the appointment.

Nurse Abagail understands patients who are disabled and have chronic pain. Instead of going ahead of me and looking back to see whether I was following, she walked with me and chatted along the way. She brought me water, dimmed the lights, and asked for my arm preference before taking my BP. She is thoughtful and kind. Dr. Guggenheim didn't rush through my appointment. She took time to listen to me and looked at me, rather than the computer screen, when she talked to me. She explained my treatment and next steps in detail, even drawing a diagram. She makes me feel like I'm a part of my treatment. These two are true gems at OHSU and models for other staff.

Dr. Guggenheim was empathetic and knowledgeable. She listened to me but she also had a deep understanding of my health issues and I didn't feel like I had to inform her of them and that I was giving her new information that she would have to educate herself on in order to help me. It was a huge relief, not only to be taken seriously but to also be able to relax and trust her to be the doctor and allow myself to simply be the patient.

  • Dec 28, 2018

Dr. Guggenheim is amazing. She listens. She asked excellent questions & for the first time in years, I feel like I have an action plan with alternatives.

  • Dec 27, 2018

DR. Guggenheim is very knowledgeable and caring

  • Dec 25, 2018

Absolutely amazing! Always very happy to work with her as we progress my treatment.

  • Dec 22, 2018

Very good about listening to concerns and creating a plan to deal with them

  • Dec 22, 2018

Dr. Guggenheim was quite literally a miracle for me. I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and I really have never felt like any doctor has really listened to me or taken the time to I guess really figure out my case and aware of how complex it is. And I really just appreciate that so much, and I just, I haven't even stopped smiling since coming home from seeing her. It was really a blessing for me, and she's doing everything she can to help me feel better. And I really, really, really would recommend her to everyone. She's great.

I am struggling with a disorder/dx that is not only highly uncommon, but very frustrating to treat. I finally found the doctor I needed when I found doctor Guggenheim. She is a true teacher in her specialty and has the knowledge, curiosity, and courage to see her whole patient.

  • Dec 21, 2018

My experience is very good. Dr. Guggenheim has definitely helped me a lot more than any other doctor I've ever had, and she's been like the most understanding and knowledgeable out of anyone. I do think that it is probably time for you guys to try and find another person that might be able to help her, but also understands EDS or, I don't know. She has a huge case load, I know that, and she is super busy and there's just so many people that need help, and I think it would be helpful for her and all of her patients if there was another person that was as knowledgeable as her or like could train under her or something. Or just I think she needs some help with her like messaging and all of that should be able to help everyone in a, I don't know, like in a timely manner. I think that, I know she's super, super busy so this is nothing against her, but I *

Always wonderful experience and an amazing doctor. Treatment has made a huge impact in a great way.

  • Dec 20, 2018

Dr. Guggenheim is a very valued addition to the team at OHSU pain center. I especially appreciate her expertise in the Ellers Danlowe syndrome since my kids have EDS and it's very difficult to find a qualified provider. And I would also like to indicate that it would be in your best interest of the hospital to incorporate support staff that is able to better help her because she is one of the only providers in 3 states that is it in her level of expertise. Therefore, she's getting extremely busy and we need to be getting her training other people that can be helpful in the EDS community. so any other*

Dr. Guggenheim is well educated and she is passionate about the care that she provides. She takes her time. And listens and thinks outside the box for treatment and always gives her best.

  • Dec 17, 2018

Dr. Guggenheim is the most thoughtful and caring physician I have ever meant. She listens and will know the situation before she walks into a room and she generally cares which is very refreshing especially since I've been seen so many physicians over the years. She's the first one that has truly listened and I would recommend her to anyone. OHSU is very lucky to have her.

  • Dec 16, 2018

Hi, I have a lot of specialist because of the complexity of my medical conditions and Dr. Guggenheim is my favorite. She cares about the patient and works endlessly and tirelessly to solve even the most difficult problems and to help with pain management in ways that are sensitive to the names of her patients. She tries natural remedies as well as pharmaceutical remedies depending on the patient's needs and I have been more than pleased with her care. She is an asset to OHSU & a valued doctor in Oregon.

  • Dec 13, 2018

She is one of the most caring providers i?ve ever seen.

  • Dec 13, 2018

Dr. G was very personable and spent time getting to know me, rather than just looking at me as a patient. There are questions that she and I not have regarding a future diagnosis that she is going to be researching.

  • Dec 07, 2018

I like this provider but she needs to spend more time with patients who are maybe dealing with pain or brain fog, and had a difficult time communicating everything to her quickly. Yeah, so basically that way the patients don't leave the appointment feeling that they haven't gotten the chance to say what they had to say or ask for what they need. That's it.

  • Dec 07, 2018

I felt that I was really being heard and I appreciate her holistic view.

  • Dec 06, 2018

    Very thorough, a good listener.

  • Dec 06, 2018

Dr. Guggenheim listens to patients very well. She also showed empathy and concern for my condition and she seemed very knowledgeable and up-to-date with the condition.

  • Dec 03, 2018

Very knowledgeable about my daughters conditions. Which is hard to find!

  • Dec 01, 2018

Hi, Dr. Guggenheim is probably my favorite doctor ever. She pays a ton of attention. She really goes into detail, and takes the time to figure out what's going on overall or systemically. She's got a lot of a skill in diagnosing, and a very extensive body of information at her command, and she's also very good at dealing with patients. I guess that's the bed side manner, is fantastic. You really feel like she's there for you. She cares. So really it would be hard for me to describe a better experience. I've had lots of doctors and I honestly feel like she's probably the best overall doctor I've ever had. Thanks.

She is clearly an expert in her field. I valued her knowledge on Rheumatoid Arthritis. She was kind and empathetic. I valued her willingness to work with me as a partner.

  • Nov 17, 2018

Dr. Guggenheim was extremely knowledgeable about my very rare disorders, and I found myself validated, and she was attentive, detail oriented, and had a solution-based problem solving approach that listened to my concerns and was willing to move forward, based on the areas that I felt were important. I found her knowledge of my illnesses and of the medical arena and how to process blood work and to what labs to go to all of those things were ... were advanced and beyond anything that I had experienced previously in the state of Oregon. I have ... my daughter and I have exceptional needs care coordination through the Oregon Health Plan and we are so grateful to have the*

She was great to talk to and was very sympathetic to my experiences. She didn't dismiss my pain. She was prompt and spent time listening

  • Nov 15, 2018

Very knowledgeable about my issues, spent a lot of time talking to me to get my background, so happy to finally have a provider that understands my situation and has a new health plan started for me. Explained everything to me great. She even met me in the lobby to come on back! Wow!

  • Nov 15, 2018

I am autistic. The waiting room was too bright. I became overwhelmed and started to wave a meltdown just before being called back. Abigail was an absolute angel. She offered me water and hot packs. She offered to dim the office lights and gave me warm blankets. Her care made a big difference in my ability to communicate with Dr Guggenheim, who I also love. I feel very safe and confident that I will get the care I need.

  • Nov 15, 2018

Dr. Guggenheim and her assistant were incredibly friendly, kind, and professional. They made me feel comfortable and I didn't feel rushed or like they were trying to get through everything as quickly as possible. Dr. Guggenheim took the time to explain things to me on a level I would understand and helped make sense of all of the symptoms I've been struggling with for 15 years.

  • Nov 13, 2018

Dr. Guggenheim is very thorough and caring and what I think about when I think what a doctor should be. She has helped us tremendously and I am very grateful that she is at OHSU.

  • Nov 12, 2018

Dr. Guggenheim took time at to write a letter for me to help me in an appeal to my health insurance company and because of her help, I won my appeal, so I really appreciated her doing that for me.

  • Nov 11, 2018

She is awesome. I look forward to my appointment. She explains everything in great detail.

  • Nov 11, 2018
