The Anterior Segment Case Conference is a new continuing medical education course at Casey that focuses on cataract, cornea and glaucoma cases. By highlighting clinical and surgical challenges and/or complications, the aim of this course is to collectively learn from past experiences to improve patient safety and outcomes.
The conference occurs the second Tuesday of each month from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. in the Macdonald Auditorium.
The target audience includes all ophthalmologists and trainees interested in cataract, corneal and glaucoma pathology.
Participants will be able to:
1) Manage complex and complicated cataracts
2) Better diagnose and manage cornea and glaucoma-related pathology
3) Identify methods to reduce risk, promote patient safety, optimize management of complications, and promote best clinical and surgical practices
