Residency Interviews

The Medical Physics Residency Program will be participating in virtual interviews for the 2020-2021 recruitment season in accordance with the recommendations from The American Association of Physicists in Medicine.

The program will be recruiting for one residency position, starting in July 2021, during this recruitment season. Residency interviews will be held virtually in February and March 2021. All Medical Physics Residency Application Program (MP-RAP) applications are reviewed by the Physics Residency Committee. Invitations to interview with the program are sent to selected candidates in February via an online scheduling portal. Approximately 15-20 applicants are selected for personal interviews, per residency slot available.

We ask that you download and test Webex prior to your interview day to avoid any video and audio technical difficulties on your interview day. We will provide a meeting space for you the day before you interview to test your Webex's performance.

If you need specific accommodations during your interview, please contact the Program Coordinator.

Residency interviews will be held via Webex and the interview days begin promptly at 8:00am PST. Interviews are conducted with panels of two faculty physicists over a 25-minute period. Candidates may also interview with faculty physicians, department administrator, radiation therapist manager and lead dosimetrists.

The interview format will be individual rooms with faculty members and residents will rotate rooms.

An interview schedule with Webex room links, call-in information and technical support will be provided to you the week before your interview.
