Cytopathology

Based in Dillehunt Hall, the Cytopathology Division processes 12,000 gynecologic specimens, 5,000 non-gynecologic and 1,000 fine needle aspiration biopsies annually. We have three cytopathology faculty including Dr. Riveros-Angel, our Medical Director of Cytopathology, and Dr. Shi, our Cytopathology Fellowship Program Director.

Services

Diagnostic image-guided FNA cytology including:

  • U/Sg thyroid and lymph node FNA
  • EUSg FNA
  • EBUSg FNA
  • CTg FNA and navigational bronchoscopy
  • FNA of palpable lesions, especially head and neck neoplasms
