On behalf of Dr. Karen Eden, Interim Chair, Department of Medical Informatics & Clinical Epidemiology (DMICE)

Dear Alumni and Faculty of the DMICE Biomedical Informatics Graduate Program:

Greetings to you all! I am happy to share with you a special opportunity to support our students on OHSU Give Day – Tuesday, May 23.

Thanks to a generous leadership challenge from Dr. Bill and Dr. Sally Hersh, Dr. David Dorr, myself and Kevin, a total of $3,500 will be released when 35 alumni and faculty of DMICE make a gift to the DMICE Student Support Fund.

You can support us in our efforts by visiting OHSU’s Give Day site on May 23 and selecting the DMICE Challenge. Even though Give Day is May 23, you can also jump in early and make a qualifying donation from May 17 through May 23 through the mailIf giving early, for mailed gifts, please note the gift is for Give Day; for online gifts, indicate the gift is in honor of Give Day. So don’t delay – we would love not only to reach but to exceed 35 donations.

Even better: donations to this fund will qualify for a 50 percent match through the SPRINT for OHSU Students campaign. The SPRINT campaign will be ending this June so this represents the final opportunity to secure additional funds to benefit our students.

Thank you for your support of the program, and for helping to ensure that the department can continue to advance our field. You can play a significant role in helping us not only reach but exceed our goal.
