Dylan Mangrum is a physician assistant working with Drs. Schabel and Huff on the total joint replacement team at OHSU. Dylan brings to OHSU an over 15 year history of working as a PA in orthopaedics, including joint replacement, trauma, sports medicine and general orthopaedics. Prior to starting employment at OHSU, Dylan worked at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Florida for 8 years, and he also has worked in the St. Louis area prior to that. Before becoming a PA, Dylan was a paramedic and served in the United States Air Force where his career in healthcare began as a paramedic and medical service specialist.
Dylan earned his physician assistant degree from St. Louis University in 2000 and has continued to work in orthopaedics since then. He enjoys the challenges of orthopaedics and the nature of the work in this field that helps many patients return to an active lifestyle. He is a member of the Oregon Society of Physician Assistants, Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
