About me

Dr. Julie Byler is a primary care physician who provides hospital-based care for individuals with substance use disorders. Dr. Byler uses evidence-based medications, as well as behavioral interventions to treat hospitalized patients with opioid, alcohol, stimulant, cannabis and nicotine use disorders.

Dr. Byler believes in patient-centered care, providing support, education and treatment options that help patients reach their individual health and well-being goals. She enjoys developing long-term relationships with patients and having the opportunity to witness and be a part of their recovery process.

In her free time, she likes to run and hike and can often be found outside or reading a good book. She also likes to travel and to explore new places as often as she can.

Insurance

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
