About me

Dr. Desmarais enjoys being a general rheumatologist. She has a special interest in teaching and is participating in a faculty development program for educators. She has completed the USSONAR program in musculoskeletal ultrasound, and enjoys incorporating ultrasound use into patient care.

  1. Dr Desmarais is amazing ! She did her homework, was very familiar with my medical history and treated me with compassion. She was very present with me and very interested in what I had to say. She was also incredibly knowledgeable in possible treatments.

  2. She actually listens and helps come up with game plans for better health. She does this without judgement, and gives real answers. She makes me feel heard in a world chronic illness is silenced.

  3. I am seeing 5 doctors, love it that they all work together. Dr J Desamaris Is excellent and gives 110% to her patients. I love my team of doctors.

  10. Dr. Desmarais puts the consultation in the patient consult process. As soon as she walked in she started asking me for my questions. She did research immediately on her computer to answer my questions and assist us in our decisions. I was very satisfied with her respect and consideration for my needs and conditions, and the amount of time she spent. She gave me a referral I needed. She put orders in immediately for next year's treatment, and I made my next appointment with her before I left. I am fortunate to have her as part of my care team!

  11. Dr. Desmarais is an amazing provider. She was knowledgeable about my medical history including recent visits unrelated to my arthritis. She is super friendly, takes all the time you need and answers questions thoroughly and in a way that's easy to understand. She listens to my concerns and isn't judgemental. She's what all providers should strive to be.

She is AMAZING and truly feel she wants to help..My blood work is with in normal parameters but with visual inspection you can definitely see I am not what my labs equal. She has worked diligently to get meds approved, has a gentle exam touch when joints are full, knows when and where to poke, and very knowledgeable and remembers me I'm not just a number in a cog.
