About me

I am a mental health counselor specializing in psychosocial oncology. This means I support patients and families navigating the emotional and practical challenges that come with cancer treatment. My clinical focus includes head, neck and lung cancers, and I help people manage mental health concerns, access resources and strengthen family and caregiver support.

I offer:

  • Supportive counseling
  • Guidance for family members and caregivers
  • Help navigating complex medical systems and community resources

Whether someone is dealing with depression, anxiety or the stress of a new diagnosis, I work to create a safe space where they feel heard, understood and supported.

Before joining OHSU, I spent years working as a medical social worker, specializing in helping people cope with depression and anxiety related to chronic illness. I deeply admire the courage it takes to face the painful or overwhelming parts of our lives, and I believe strongly in every person’s ability to grow and thrive — even during difficult seasons.

My approach goes beyond the medical aspects of care. I focus on supporting the whole person — mind, body and spirit. Cancer treatment can be an intense and consuming experience, and I’m here to help patients stay connected to the parts of themselves that often get overlooked along the way.

Outside of work, I love exploring the Pacific Northwest with my dog, Jasper. I also enjoy practicing yoga and meditation, and I’ve been learning the joys (and challenges!) of working on my little home in Portland.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
