Message from the Program Director

Welcome to the OHSU Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Residency Program website. Oregon Health & Science University Department of Pathology offers an ACGME-accredited four-year training program in anatomic and clinical pathology.

Our department boasts a diverse and busy caseload, enthusiastic and dedicated teachers, and a robust research environment. Our program maintains the highest standards for preparing our residents for careers as well-rounded community pathologists, subspecialists, and academic pathologists. We have ACGME-accredited fellowships in Hematopathology, Molecular Pathology, Neuropathology and Cytopathology as well as two unaccredited fellowships in Gastrointestinal, Pancreaticobiliary, and Liver Pathology as well as Breast and Gynecologic Pathology

Oregon Health & Science University is a complete academic health center, where the latest advances in medical education and patient care are continuously incorporated, and our research programs are world-renowned. We offer state of the art laboratory services and molecular/genetic testing  through OHSU Knight Diagnostic Laboratories.

Our campus is perched on a scenic hill just south of downtown Portland, Oregon, a unique city where an exciting urban lifestyle meets the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. OHSU is an ideal place to learn and home to superior training programs in pathology.
