Grand Rounds Details:

Please join us (in-person or virtually) for a virtual Grand Rounds presentation, “Forty Years in Family Medicine” presented by John Saultz, M.D.

We will be hosting this presentation live in-person at the Emma Jones Hall building in room #28 and virtually as well.

June 2022 marks the 40-year anniversary of my residency graduation. Coincidentally, it will also mark my retirement from clinical practice and from my faculty career. Much has changed over these 40 years, but much also remains the same. This presentation will inspire reflection on our heritage and offer challenges for our future and it will facilitate reflection on the relationship between personal and professional goals over the span of a career.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this lecture participants will be able to

1. List and prioritize the most important core values in your own career.

2. Discuss how these core values have changed since you completed your education.

3. Examine ways in which your core values match with those espoused by family medicine and the ways in which they differ.

4. Reflect on how the core values of family medicine have changed over time and what role you can play in building its future.
