About me
Dr. Dmitriy Gonikman is a psychiatrist and assistant professor with a passion for providing the best possible care to his patients with a focus on underserved populations.
As a physician at Unity Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) he provides emergency psychiatric care for people in need using a trauma-informed approach and as part of a collaborative team, including crisis intervention specialists, nurses, and others. As Assistant Professor, Dr. Gonikman is passionate about teaching the next generation of physicians as he works with medical students and residents.
In his free time, Dr. Gonikman is an avid hiker and often can be found hiking in and around Portland. He is also a big fan of coffee, and has obtained his own espresso machine to cut out the middlemen.
