About me
Dr. Patel is an endourologist specializing in minimally invasive surgeries treating prostate enlargement and kidney stones. After growing up in Malaysia, he moved to the United States to complete medical training. He completed an endourology fellowship in Northwestern University to learn Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP), a procedure which allows for minimally invasive treatment of enlarged prostates with excellent long term outcomes. He is also passionate in caring for patients with kidney stone disease, working on both the surgeries to remove them, and medical therapies to prevent them. Outside of work, Dr. Patel enjoys hiking, travelling, and spending time with his wife and cat. You can also find him trying out restaurants around Portland, which he believes is the best food city in the country!

Insurance
Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
