Keys Bags Names Words is a quirky and inspiring lens portraying stories of the personal and global impacts of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. It follows a cohort of young scientists and artists from around the world as they harness every aspect of creativity, humor and compassion to lead the way towards hope and resilience.

The documentary features OHSU's own Walter Dawson, D.Phil. Dr. Dawson is Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology, OHSU School of Medicine, and Assistant Professor, OHSU-PSU School of Public Health.  Dr. Dawson studies the public policy implications of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias including the financial impact on families and the public programs that finance care. His specific research interests include global health policy, long-term services and supports financing, and interventions to better support people living with dementia including improved cognitive screening and dementia detection.

Join us for this free film screening at OMSI, followed by a panel discussion with policy experts and advocates. Seating is limited and reservations are required.

This event is brought to you by the OHSU Brain Institute in partnership with the Alzheimer's Association Oregon & SW Washington Chapter, AARP Oregon, Portland State University Institute on Aging, and the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health.
