Please join us (remotely) for a virtual BRIDGE-C2 Grand Rounds presentation, “Engaging Latinx Populations in Cancer Prevention Efforts”, presented by Gloria Coronado, Ph.D.

The US Latinx population, which numbered 62.1 million in 2020, grew by 23% over the past decade, which far outpaced the overall population growth of 7%. Effective strategies are needed to meet the cancer prevention needs of this growing population. This presentation will showcase efforts to engage Latinx populations in colorectal cancer prevention initiatives through the development and testing of culturally tailored approaches and materials. Specifically, we will highlight accessible text- and video-based approaches that use artificial intelligence to educate and motivate Latinx populations to get life-saving cancer screening tests.

• To understand the importance of tailoring cancer prevention approaches and materials for Latinx populations.
• To identify possible strategies to reach and engage Latinx individuals in cancer prevention efforts.
• To describe how technology can be used to overcome challenges faced by populations that experience low health literacy.
