ThinkFirst Oregon provides school presentations for youth in grades K-12. Presentations can be provided in a classroom or as an assembly. We ask for 30-90 minutes per presentation depending on the grade level of the students and the needs of the teacher. Our presentations include information on basic brain and spinal cord anatomy as well as how to make smart choices to be safe and prevent traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries.

Matter of Balance for seniors
Matter of Balance is an eight week, evidence-based senior fall prevention program. Classes are held once a week for eight weeks in a group of 10 to 12 participants. During the class, participants learn to view falls and fear of falling as controllable, set realistic goals to increase activity, change their environment to reduce fall risk factors, and exercise to improve strength and balance.

ThinkFirst participates in many community events each year ranging from health fairs to soccer jamborees. At these events, we provide fun activities to educate community members about the brain and how to be safe. Our activities seek to educate about concussions, helmets, transportation safety, and more.
