Congratulations to Elias Wisdom, a 5th year M.D./Ph.D. student (3rd year Ph.D.) neuroscience graduate program student, who received the Alzheimer's Association’s "One to Watch" award at the 2026 Neuroscience Next conference in February.
This award recognizes the next generation of leaders in neuroscience; the students, postdoctoral researchers and early career investigators who are trailblazers in scientific thinking, collaboration, communication and outreach.
Wisdom is studying the molecular nature of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases under mentorship from Vivek Unni, M.D., Ph.D., and Andrew Emili, Ph.D. His research interests also include neurodegeneration, proteomics and aging. His clinical interests include neurology, dementia, movement disorders and geriatrics.
