Please join us for a virtual Grand Rounds presentation, “What’s Your Story? Developing a Meaningful Career in Family Medicine”, presented by William Ventres, M.D., M.A.

Leaders in family medicine commonly find deep meaning in their daily work. In “What’s Your Story?”, Dr. Ventres will review the newly released 12 article series, “Storylines of Family Medicine, “ in which family medicine leaders discuss the meanings that drive their professional passions. He will then encourage learners – students, residents, and faculty members – to reflect upon the storylines emerging from their work, so that they may develop their own personal philosophies of family medicine.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this session, attendees should be able to:

• Demonstrate an understanding of how finding meaning in work is important to building and maintaining one’s professional identity over a career,
• Reflect upon the stories – key moments in one’s professional development – that have to date helped create meaning at work,
• Describe one personal professional story and discuss how it has contributed to one’s own professional identity development.
