Periodontitis Focus of Seminar

Jeffrey Ebersole

The fourth in a series of lectures, as part of the School of Dentistry’s new Dean’s Seminar Series, will focus on “Macrophage Plasticity and Phenotypes Related to Periodontitis.” The OHSU and dental community are invited to the April 29 lecture at the dental school.

The speaker is Jeffrey Ebersole, Ph.D., professor and associate dean for research and graduate studies, Center for Oral Health Research, University of Kentucky College of Dentistry.

Dr. Ebersole’s lecture is from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in room 220/225 (611 SW Campus Drive, Portland, 97239) with a welcome reception at noon.

“The Dean’s Seminar Series is an excellent initiative,” said Harjit Singh Sehgal, B.D.S., M.S., F.A.G.E., assistant professor of periodontology, School of Dentistry. “It clearly provides an avenue to bring in distinguished speakers from different dental disciplines, research or service, and extends an opportunity for exchange of ideas, fosters collaborative research, and helps us effectively seek our institutional vision.

“The seminars are also a great source of motivation for students and faculty.”

Continuing education credit is available for this free lecture.
