EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND
Dr. Iwasaki received her formal education in Canada, including a DDS degree from the University of Alberta, and MSc degree/Orthodontics Certificate and PhD degree from the University of Manitoba. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and has been involved in the clinical practice of orthodontics for several decades. Dr. Iwasaki's research is focused on the biomechanics and behavior of the human craniomandibular complex with special interests in the TMJ, jaw muscles, and tooth movement.
TEACHING AND PROFESSIONAL AFFILLATIONS
Dr. Iwasaki’s responsibilities include department administration plus clinical and didactic teaching and research supervision in the advanced education, dental and graduate programs. Among her professional affiliations are the American Association for Orthodontists (AAO), Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, American and International Associations for Dental Research, Consortium on Orthodontic Advances in Science and Technology, Orthodontic Network of Educators and AAO Society of Educators.
