Jerry Jaboin, M.D., Ph.D. is an associate professor and executive vice-vhair of the Department of Radiation Medicine. His clinical research and expertise are on the treatment of pediatric and adult brain tumors. He has lead the programmatic development of the OHSU Pediatric and CNS Radiation Oncology Programs. Dr. Jaboin’s research focus include the identification of novel gene targets and biomarkers, the characterization of the NDRG family of proteins, and the development of novel techniques to enhance the standard therapies used to approach brain tumors. His ongoing research has been supported by the Harold Amos Medical Faculty Award and the OHSU Start-Up Fund.
Dr. Jaboin is currently collaborating with Dr. Melissa Wong, a stem cell biologist and cancer researcher at the OHSU Department of Cell, Development and Cancer Biology. Their project focuses on the novel population of circulating hybrid cells in high grade glioma patients.

Blair Murphy, M.D. has been awarded the Umpqua Bank Innovation Award for Pediatric Cancer Research, in the amount of $20,000 for her proposal, VidRT: Offering an Alternative to Pediatric Sedation for Children Receiving Radiation.
