Practice Description: Patients seen in the rhinology otolaryngology clinic are commonly referred for disease of the sinus and skull base cancer. Common procedures performed in clinic include: nasal laryngoscopy, nasal endoscopy, sinus debridement, simple I&D, drain removal, wound care, and tracheostomy management.

Duties & Responsibilities: The purpose of this position is to coordinate and support the outpatient medical needs of patients in the Otolaryngology Divison of Rhinology. Clinical responsibilities include: Conduct six to eight clinic sessions per week with faculty/independently • Evaluate new and established rhinology and sinus/skullbase cancer patients • Order work up and develop treatment plan according to the recent NCCN guidelines along with physician • Provide post-operative clinical care and education for surgical patients and families • Provide ongoing surveillance of oncology patients after completion of both surgical and non-surgical treatment • Perform in-office procedures • Educate patient and family regarding diagnosis, disease process, post-treatment expectations and ongoing follow-up plan of care and expectations • Counsel and educate cancer patients in survivorship regarding ongoing management of treatment effects • Review and discuss test results, pathology, imaging results as directed by physician with appropriate referrals for treatment • Participate in research trials regarding patient education and potential enrollment as directed by oncology physician(s) and surgeon(s) • Work in collaboration with ENT and neurosurgery staff to coordinate referrals and outpatient needs upon patient hospital discharge • Review new cancer and sinus referrals and order appropriate work up testing as indicated prior to visit • Triage patient phone calls and order appropriate interventions, prescription refill management, care coordination.

Experience & Qualifications: Required: Certified, National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or Certified Nurse Practitioner • Sufficient clinic experience with the patient population and knowledge of necessary resources • Knowledge of OHSU clinical support systems, including EPIC and order entry. Practice Description: The purpose of this position is to provide patient care, assist with the clinic coordination to support the operations of the Pediatric Orthopedics practice at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital (DCH). Clinical practice will occur in independent clinics at the DCH site and outreach clinics and for selected inpatients within DCH.

Duties & Responsibilities: Screening, diagnosis and medical management of orthopedic patients. Pre-procedural preparation and post-procedural care including, but not limited to, traction cast, and splint • Staff independent clinics and perform procedures as authorized by the medical board and within the scope specified by the Oregon Medical Board • Complete timely and accurate documentation in the patient’s electronic health record (EHR) with an awareness of reimbursement issues • Communicate with all referring providers and primary care practitioners as needed • Patient education and teaching duties as well—see position posting for a full list of duties.
