Faculty and staff of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology work closely with OHSU nurse-midwives.

Nurse-midwifery has had a place at OHSU since 1975 when the first Certified Nurse-Midwife was granted medical staff privileges. Since that time, nurse-midwifery practice has thrived, and an American College of Nurse-Midwives accredited nurse-midwifery educational program has taken its place among the excellent graduate level offerings of the OHSU School of Nursing.
