OB/GYN Medical Student Clerkship

Our new yourMD curriculum is designed to help students find specialties early on in their medical education. Students at OHSU are required to complete either a 4-week core clerkship or an 8-week continuity course in obstetrics and gynecology. We also offer electives and sub-internships in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Family Planning, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, as well as advanced gynecological surgery services.

We have relationships with several medical groups throughout Oregon, which allows students the opportunity for a varied and well-rounded educational experience. Obstetrics and Gynecology faculty are actively involved in medical education throughout the four-year medical school curriculum. We are committed to excellence in medical education and providing mentorship with the goals of providing a solid foundation in the care of women and developing the next generation of leaders in women's health.

Unfortunately, we are unable to host visiting students for any Obstetrics and Gynecology courses with the exception for the Reproductive Health Externship, sponsored by Medical Students for Choice. This externship is hosted at OHSU one time per year during the Summer, the dates are non-negotiable.
