Affreen manages industry-sponsored research, research collaboration, material transfer and confidentiality agreements for OHSU. The role provides Affreen an opportunity to give a helping hand to the best researchers in science to develop cures and vaccines and make discoveries for the public benefit. Affreen received her B.A in Political Science and Economics from Rutgers University.  

Prior to joining OHSU, Affreen worked as a senior legal associate at Pacira BioSciences, Inc. overseeing the company's contracting process and negotiations for grants, clinical trials and business agreements. Subsequently, she served as the contracts manager at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City and was responsible for all sponsored research agreements at the institution. 

Traveling, cooking and spending time with family and friends are a few things that occupy her time when away from the office.
