Perinatal Early Determinants of Immune Development (PedsID)

Determine how the maternal immune system during pregnancy impacts neonatal immune system development, and whether there are factors that influence
infant health.

MFM - PedsID 2

You may be eligible if you:

  • Healthy, pregnant women at least 18 years old
  •  Planning to deliver at OHSU
  • BMI < 25 kg/m2 or ≥ 30 kg/m2
  • Gestational age of 8-16 weeks

Participation information:

Our understanding of the mechanisms that govern pregnancy-associated changes in immune system function and the consequences of their disruption is incomplete due to a lack of studies following women throughout pregnancy in both healthy and at-risk pregnancies. This study seeks to understand the impact of pregnancy factors on peripheral and placental maternal immune systems.

You will receive $10 per in-person visit (3), and $5 after the completion of all the surveys postpartum (3), for $45 total reimbursement for your participation.
