OPAT For Patients
Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) is a safe and effective way to complete IV antibiotics outside the hospital. As a patient, you may receive your antibiotics at home, at a skilled nursing or rehabilitation facility, or daily at an infusion center.
The OHSU OPAT program is a team of nurses, doctors and pharmacists in the division of Infectious Diseases who manage patients in the community getting treatment for their infection with long-term IV antibiotics.
For more information about OPAT and what to expect, view our brochure here.
