The Sixth Annual 2024 Oregon Bioengineering Symposium brings together students, researchers, practitioners, and industry leaders in Oregon to discuss the latest innovations in biomedical engineering. This year's symposium will include:
- Keynote speaker Dr. David Huang, M.D., Ph.D., 2023 awardee of the National Medal of Technology and Innovation
- Poster session

Early registration deadline is October 4, 2024. Fees increase by $25 after Oct. 4. Regular registration ends October 31, 2024, at 11:59pm.
Early Registration Fees:
- Non-University: $75.00
- Faculty: $60.00
- Student/trainee: $25.00
Submit an abstract
To be considered for a student/trainee talk or poster, an abstract must be submitted. There will be awards for the best student/trainee presentations.
Abstract deadline: Oct. 1, 2024
Please note that registration and attendance are requirements for presenting at the 6th Oregon Bioengineering Symposium, and abstracts will be removed from consideration if not registered by October 20th.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. David Huang, M.D., Ph.D.
The Oregon Bioengineering Symposium is pleased to welcome Dr. David Huang, M.D., Ph.D., Wold Family Endowed Chair in Ophthalmic Imaging and Professor of Biomedical Engineering at OHSU, as its 2024 keynote speaker. Dr. Huang was awarded the National Medal of Technology and Innovation in 2023 by President Biden along with two collaborators for inventing optical coherence tomography (OCT). He is Associate Director and Director of Research at Casey Eye Institute at OHSU and leads the Center for Ophthalmic Optics and Lasers (www.COOLLab.net) centered at Casey Eye.
