About me

Dr. Pilliod completed her medical degree at OHSU and her residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital in Obstetrics and Gynecology before returning to OHSU for fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Her medical interests include prenatal diagnosis, fetal anomalies, preterm birth, stillbirth, and hematologic disorders and pregnancy.

Dr. Pilliod is the Managing Director of the Oregon Perinatal Collaborative, an organization dedicated to improving health outcomes for women and infants in Oregon through statewide quality improvement efforts and policy change. Her academic interests also include the intersections of health policy, clinical outcomes, and access to care. She currently serves on the Oregon Medical Association Legislative Committee and the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine Health Policy Committee.

Dr. Pilliod considers it a privilege to work with women and their families during pregnancy, particularly when there are unanticipated developments or complications. She says, “helping women navigate the unexpected and to help them feel safe and confident in their understanding of what is going on is the part of my job that I enjoy the most.”

Dr. Pilliod enjoys spending time with her spouse, two children, and dog Harry. When they aren’t cheering for the Trailblazers, Dr. Pilliod and her family enjoy traveling around the Pacific Northwest.
