Lisa Lukaesko

Technology Development Manager

Lisa Lukaesko

Lisa manages the intellectual property, early-stage technology development, licensing and marketing for a wide range of life science innovations.  She creates commercialization strategies to take OHSU innovations to market, as well as supporting OHSU researchers as they develop their innovations into impactful products and services.

Before joining Technology Transfer, Lisa managed OHSU’s New Ventures program where she developed entrepreneurial programming and provided guidance to OHSU startups on early business development, funding strategies and talent recruitment. She was also a member of the industry and academic collaborations team at OHSU Technology Transfer, where she was responsible for negotiating sponsored research, collaborations and materials transfer agreements. Lisa has more than 20 years of life science research experience, which includes working in both diagnostic and therapeutic development programs. She earned her Ph.D. in neuroscience from OHSU and a B.S. in biology from the University of Maryland, College Park. She conducted her postdoctoral research at Providence Health & Services.

In her spare time, Lisa enjoys outdoor adventures of all types and endurance running. She’s completed the Boston Marathon twice — the coldest race recorded in its history and the first race held virtually during a pandemic. She’s hoping when she runs this race again it’s both in person and sunny!
