Experienced Biostatistician with background in R needed at OHSU research center

The Biostatistician will work collaboratively to design, manage, implement and interpret statistical analyses focused on healthcare expenditures, utilization and quality.

The Biostatistician provides high-level professional support in analytic activities at the OHSU Center for Health Systems Effectiveness. The Center is devoted to transforming health systems through actionable cross-disciplinary and collaborative research. The employee will participate in the design, data management, analysis and dissemination of findings for a variety of health services research projects and program evaluations.

The successful candidate will have a:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with major courses in statistics, biostatistics, applied mathematics, epidemiology or economics
  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience, OR a Master’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong coding skills and proficient knowledge of statistical methods including experience with statistical models using R
  • Proficiency in research activities including managing, analyzing and summarizing data; study design and research methodologies; and knowledge of economics, epidemiology, health services and/or health policy
