President Biden honors OHSU's David Huang
Congratulations to David Huang, M.D., Ph.D., on receiving the United States' highest honor for technological achievement, the National Medal of Technology and Innovation!
“You’re literally changing the world for the better,” President Biden told Huang and other honorees. Huang was a co-inventor of optical coherence tomography, or OCT, which has transformed the way eye disease is diagnosed and managed.

Registration is now open for the 2024 OHSU Innovation Awards and reception to be held March 14, 4-7 pm! This free in-person event is open to all OHSU members and will be a chance to meet and network with the OHSU community focused on turning innovative ideas into healthcare solutions. The celebration of the 2024 awardees, will be followed by a happy hour for the attendees. We hope to see you there!

Regulatory Consultation and Assistance Program
The Oregon Clinical and Translational Research Institute, OCTRI, will soon be accepting applications for funding regulatory consultation services for eligible OHSU investigators. The Regulatory Consultation and Assistance Program (RCAP) will provide a one-time award, up to $7000, which can be used to support efforts to understand and navigate the regulatory environment for medical devices, diagnostics, drugs, and software. The RCAP can help create a roadmap to guide teams in the transition from the ideation phase of their project to proof-of-concept. Recipients may hire regulatory consultants to provide an overview of FDA rules and procedures specific to moving your technology or project towards commercialization.
