OHSU Center M Randomized Trial

Why is this study being done?

We want to understand if virtual group sessions during pregnancy can improve well-being and reduce stress during pregnancy and postpartum. Our study includes the potential to engage in a facilitated group for pregnant people and collects information on stress and well-being during pregnancy and postpartum. Participation will last up to 9 months and involve surveys during pregnancy and postpartum. You may also be asked to attend four 1-hour Center M sessions during pregnancy.

Eligibility

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Currently pregnant at ≥12 weeks of gestation age (GA)
  • ≤ 34 weeks GA at the time of Center M intervention initiation
  • Receiving prenatal care through the Center for Women’s Health at OHSU
  • Able to fluently understand, speak and read English
  • Available, able, and willing to attend online group sessions
  • Willing and able to receive home practice materials on an accessible smartphone, tablet or computer
  • Residing in Oregon or Washington
  • Willingness to participate in either randomization arm

Compensation

Those participating in the trial will receive up to $140 for their complete participation in the study.
